Reflections

This past year has flown bye! My little lady will soon be a first grader and my little man will be playing his first T-Ball game. I can't believe the growth and maturity that comes with each turn of the calendar, but since I haven't blogged on here in months and I have so much to say I thought I'd list what's been happening since... well... February. (Oops, life got in the way of blogging. What can I say?)

1. Easter was a blast with so many sweet memories of the kids collecting eggs and spending time with family.

2. April brought SUNSHINE and lots of it. We enjoyed many days playing outside and feeling the sun on our skin after a long cold winter!

3. Mother's Day was absolutely fabulous! The kids made me the sweetest cards and books at school that have been safely tucked away in my hope chest. And each gave me a flower for my little flower garden. (And I do mean little. I don't have a green thumb, more like brown. Rich says that if it doesn't bark or cry around here that it doesn't get looked after...He's pretty much right.) So as I planted them in the ground each flower got a special prayer for growth. And finally they gave me a mouse. Yep, a mouse...for my computer. I have a laptop and was needing a mouse to make typing and navigating easier. I think the kids liked it as much as I did.

4. Micah has almost finished potty training. (Imagine the Hallelujah Chorus) I told him it was the best Mother's Day gift he could have ever given me! Truly! I have been working with him for literally a year now, and he finally has gotten it. I was at my wit's end and then one day he did it! Oh joy of joys if I didn't hoop and holler and dance around like a mad woman! I have literally prayed for this day and for his potty training...no kidding. The Lord will testify to that, I'm sure he got tired of hearing about my little man's bathroom problems! But thank you Lord, he is doing it!

5. Micah, Anna, and I have all started taking Teakwondo classes. This has boosted Micah's self confidence and has served as a good exercise routine for Anna and me. This week we test for the first time to graduate up from white belt to yellow. We'll see how it goes. (Pray for me!)

Now that the reflections are over, we look to the glorious future of Summertime! I can't wait to see what the next few months hold!
